Saskatoon Berry

Saskatoon berries are a berry breed that is not well known throughout the United States, but can liven up your garden selection. The Saskatoon berry is prevalent in Canada, and grows best if the soil is deep, and sandy/loamy and is well drained. Saskatoon bushes fare best if the pH level is 6-7.5, but the bush can adapt to a wide ranging soil pH level. Saskatoon berry bushes should not be planted within 1 mile of native junipers, though, due to problems that occur with juniper-saskatoon
